About the Allentown Rotary Club

The Allentown Rotary Club is a member of Rotary International, a world-wide network of 1.4 million members who adhere to the guiding principle of “Service Above Self”. This is not just a slogan; it’s who we are and what we do.
Our club is a dynamic organization of community-minded individuals engaging in impactful projects to make our community stronger; providing members and guests the opportunity to hear interesting and thought-provoking speakers; and offering events to enjoy the friendship of others.
It is hard to imagine when our club was founded in 1914 that the eight attendees of the very first meeting foresaw the immense impact their initial efforts would ultimately stamp upon Allentown and beyond. From playing a significant role in the establishment of the area’s first hospice, to distributing over $400,000 in scholarship dollars to college students, awarding grants and funding to numerous organizations, and to providing countless hands-on volunteering, Allentown Rotary Club truly believes in “Service Above Self”.
We welcome enthusiastic, service-driven individuals who want to make a difference. Please visit us by attending a lunch meeting, a community service project, or fellowship event. Click here to view our calendar.
